Pastor Gregory J. Cumbee

Pastor Greg Cumbee was ordained in 2002 and installed as pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church (LCMS) of Winchester, VA on September 28, 2014. He is a native of Southport, North Carolina, and was educated at Liberty University (B.A.); several Presbyterian and Reformed seminaries (M.T.S., M.Div.); Calvin Theological Seminary (Th.M.) under the mentorship of Dr. Richard A. Muller and Concordia Theological Seminary (LCMS Colloquy).

He served as a missionary to the classical martial (koryu) schools of Osaka and Kyoto, Japan (1992); completed his pastoral internship in Kobe, Japan (2001); served as an adjunct college professor of theology and Bible at Christ College and has pastored churches in North Carolina and Virginia. His first career was in the tactical security industry, and he is a subject-matter expert (SME) in personal protection and church security. 

Pastor Greg is married to his wife Rebekah and is the father of five children. He loves Christ, His people and is passionate in showing how the truths of God’s Word are timeless and relevant to our everyday lives.
