We are Christians - Lutheran Christians.

    Lutherans take their name from Martin Luther, the 16th century reformer of the church. There are about 65 million Lutherans presently throughout the world (the world's largest Protestant body) and 8 million plus in the United States (third largest in the U.S.).  This congregation is a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod which has ~2.5 million members.  Lutherans hold that the Holy Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God; and our faith centers on Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Savior of the world, as He is revealed to us in the Bible. We are of the family of faith.

The Charter of Our Savior Lutheran Church

By the grace of God, we as a fellowship of Lutheran Christians take our place in the assembly of all believers in the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; and in the one Holy, Christian and Apostolic Church, wherein the Gospel is preached in its purity and the Sacraments are administered in accordance with the Word of God.

We affirm that we hold all the Old and New Testament Books of the Bible to be as a whole and in all their details the Word of God, inspired, and without contradiction and error, and the sole rule of faith and life. We accept all Symbolical books of the Lutheran Church contained in the Book of Concord of the year 1580 A.D. as a correct and sound exposition of Christian doctrine in full accord with the Holy Scriptures.

With the help of God we commit ourselves to bring Christ's Gospel to all people, worship and sing praises to God, study God's Word together, grow in our relationship to God and each other, share the blessings of God's goodness, lead meaningful lives as God's people by living harmoniously with others in our community.

As evidence of our commitment, with the help of God we pledge our support and active participation to further God's ministry in our area and in the world, and to express through our church and lives our love and faith in Jesus Christ.
